How We Keep Drain Repair Prices Fair

Nobody wants a surprise bill for a blocked or broken drain. Since our early days, we’ve tried to keep our prices fair and clear, and that means keeping our own costs down without cutting corners. Here’s how we keep drain repairs affordable for our customers in Stockport, including where our materials come from.

Good materials at fair prices

In 2022 we started buying our materials from CM Merchants and Hire. They’re still our supplier today, and we’ve built a close working relationship with them. They supply us with good-quality materials at low prices, which helps us keep the cost down for our customers. It came at the right time. While material prices across the trade were rising, we only had to make small increases to general materials, in line with inflation.

Fixed prices, no surprises

Our prices are fixed, and there’s no call-out charge when we carry out the work:

• Rodding and plunging: £75 + VAT (fixed)
• Jetting and machine work: £150 + VAT (fixed)
• CCTV report after an unblock: £80 + VAT
• Commercial drainage: quote on request, from £220 + VAT

Fixed prices apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Evenings, weekends and bank holidays may cost more, and we’ll tell you the rate before we set off. Everything is set out in our pricing and terms.

The right method first

We don’t start with the most expensive option. If a blockage can be cleared with rods or a plunger, that’s what we’ll use. We only bring out the jetter or machines when the job needs them.

Evidence before repairs

If we think a drain is damaged, we’ll show you on camera. For bigger investigations, our CCTV drain surveys have fixed prices too: a look-see survey is £150 + VAT, and home buyer surveys start at £320 + VAT. You see exactly what we see before deciding anything.

Patch before dig

Where a single crack or open joint can be sealed from the inside, a no-dig patch repair usually costs far less than digging up your garden or drive. We do patch repairs only. If excavation really is the only proper fix, we’ll explain why.

No upselling
