Patch lining is a no-dig way to repair a single defect in an underground drain. We insert a resin-soaked patch on an inflatable packer, position it over the crack or joint using the CCTV camera, and inflate it against the pipe wall until it cures and seals the defect.

We carry out patch repairs across Stockport, Manchester and the surrounding areas. We offer patch repairs only, not full relining. If your drain needs more than a patch, we'll say so.

We need to see the defect. £220 + VAT for one drain with a written report, or the free camera check after an unblock where applicable.

Most household drains are 4" (100mm). If the pipe needs jetting or root cutting before the patch goes in, jetting and machine work is a fixed £150 + VAT (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Already have footage from someone else? We'll give you a free second opinion on it. See our pricing and terms.

How a Patch Repair Works

Survey and clean

We find the defect on camera, then jet the pipe and cut out any roots so the patch can bond to clean pipe.
Fit the patch

We position the resin-soaked patch over the defect with the camera and inflate it against the pipe wall to cure.
Check the repair

Once it has cured, we remove the packer and camera-check the finished repair so you can see the result.

Patch Lining FAQs

Do you offer full drain relining?

No. We offer patch repairs only, not full relining. A patch seals one defect, such as a crack or open joint, from the inside. If your drain needs a full-length liner, we'll tell you honestly and explain your options, including excavation.

How much does patch lining cost?

For a 4" (100mm) pipe it's £450 + VAT for setup including the first patch, then £275 + VAT for each additional patch. For a 6" (150mm) pipe it's £550 + VAT including the first patch, then £370 + VAT for each additional patch.

Do I need a CCTV survey first?

Yes, we need to see the defect on camera to know whether a patch will work. That can be the free camera check after an unblock, where applicable, or a CCTV survey: a look-see survey is £150 + VAT, or £220 + VAT for one drain with a written report.

Which defects can be patched?

Patch repairs suit cracks, small fractures, open or slightly displaced joints and root entry points once the roots have been cut out. They aren't suitable for collapsed, badly deformed or broken pipes.

I've been quoted for full relining. Can you check it?

Yes. Send us the CCTV footage you already have and we'll review it free of charge. If we need to survey the drain ourselves, that's chargeable.

Do you do patch lining for other drainage companies?
