How to read drainage company reviews

Not all reviews are equal. When you’re comparing companies, look for:

• Independent sites. Reviews on Google and Checkatrade carry more weight than quotes on a company’s own website.
• Detail. Good reviews describe the job: what was wrong, what the engineer did and whether the price matched what was quoted.
• A steady history. Reviews spread over months and years are more convincing than a burst all at once.
• Price comments. Look out for words like “upsell”, “hidden charges” or “price went up”. They’re a warning sign.
• Replies. How a company responds to a complaint tells you a lot about how it treats customers.

We can’t make a blocked drain fun, but we can make it as painless as possible. That comes down to a few simple things:

• Fixed prices. Rodding and plunging is a fixed £75 + VAT, and jetting or machine work is a fixed £150 + VAT, with no call-out charge on top.
• We work around you. We’re open 24/7, including evenings and weekends. Our fixed prices apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Evenings, weekends and bank holidays may cost more, and we’ll tell you the rate before we set off.
• Honest advice. If it’s a simple blockage, we’ll clear it and tell you so. We’ll only recommend more work if the camera shows it’s needed.
• You can watch. We’re happy for you to see exactly what we’re doing.
